Punta Lobos is a beach launch on an open coast, which keeps the crowds away and the fishery honest. Out here you share the water with pelicans and whales more often than with other boats. At certain times of year the Pacific side is blue and calm while the Cortez is green and windy, and because we fish both coasts, we put you where the opportunity is.
There is no marina at Punta Lobos. The panga launches straight off the sand, the crew do it every day, and it is over in seconds. Expect a little spray and wear shoes you can get wet. Launching is subject to conditions, and when the surf says no we move your day to the other coast or another date.
We know both coasts and both seasons, and that is the real advantage. Tell us your dates and we point the day at the best water.
In season, whales pass close along this coast, and off Punta Lobos you watch them without the boat traffic of the Cabo bay. It is one of the best wildlife experiences we offer, and it is often just you out there.
The banks offshore are where the bottom rises and the life stacks up, and on the right day they are the best fishing we do. A bank day is a longer run, so we commit when the forecast supports it. Conditions decide the day, and we will always tell you straight.
Every charter is private, so the boat is yours. No wetsuit or rash guard is needed for fishing. Take seasickness medication before you leave your accommodation if you need it, bring a light windbreaker for the run out, and put anything that must stay dry in a dry bag. A 50 percent deposit holds the date.

No. Everyone fishing in Mexican waters needs a Mexican sportfishing license, and each angler buys their own. We help you arrange it before the day so nobody is sorting paperwork on the dock. The same license covers rod and spear.
Yes. Every charter is private: the whole boat is yours, with your group, your target species and your pace.
Three on the 24 foot Punta Lobos panga, up to four on La Ruca and La Morita, and up to six on Don Pancho and El Wahoo King. Whale watching numbers run a little higher because nobody is swinging a rod.
Yes. The catch goes home with you. Filleting at the dock, vacuum sealing and freezing are available, and most guests fly home with a cooler. Marlin are mostly released, with judgment on the day.
Yes, on fishing days. The crew rigs and handles the gear and hands you the rod when something eats. Guided spearfishing needs breath-hold experience and runs on a strict buddy system; breath hold is the only legal way to spearfish in Mexico. Water, ice and snacks are normally aboard.
