The Sea of Cortez is the warm, protected side of Baja: the same great gamefish as the Pacific on different timing, and morning water that is often glass. We fish it from San Jose del Cabo and from remote launch points up the gulf, and we put you on the side with the best conditions for your dates.
The Pacific and the Cortez hold the same headline species. What changes is the timing and the conditions, and reading those is our job. Many of our Cortez days run out of San Jose del Cabo, minutes from the East Cape grounds and Gordo Banks.
For guests who want the gulf without another boat in sight, we arrange pangas from launch points further up the Cortez: La Ventana and El Sargento near Isla Cerralvo, and San Evaristo for multi-day runs through the islands between La Paz and Loreto. Every charter is private. Mornings are the calm part of the day, so we start early. No wetsuit or rash guard is needed for fishing. A 50 percent deposit holds the date.

No. Everyone fishing in Mexican waters needs a Mexican sportfishing license, and each angler buys their own. We help you arrange it before the day so nobody is sorting paperwork on the dock. The same license covers rod and spear.
Yes. Every charter is private: the whole boat is yours, with your group, your target species and your pace.
Three on the 24 foot Punta Lobos panga, up to four on La Ruca and La Morita, and up to six on Don Pancho and El Wahoo King. Whale watching numbers run a little higher because nobody is swinging a rod.
Yes. The catch goes home with you. Filleting at the dock, vacuum sealing and freezing are available, and most guests fly home with a cooler. Marlin are mostly released, with judgment on the day.
Yes, on fishing days. The crew rigs and handles the gear and hands you the rod when something eats. Guided spearfishing needs breath-hold experience and runs on a strict buddy system; breath hold is the only legal way to spearfish in Mexico. Water, ice and snacks are normally aboard.
