Every Indigo charter is the whole boat. Here is what each one costs for a half or full day in Cabo, what the price covers, and what it does not.
Every charter we run is private. The price is for the whole boat, your group and nobody else, and it stays the same whether two of you come or the boat is full. That makes Cabo easy to budget once you know which boat fits.
What a day costs by boat
These are our five boats and what a day on each one costs, in US dollars, for the whole boat.
| Boat | Launch point | Guests fishing | Half day | Full day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24' Punta Lobos Panga | Punta Lobos, Todos Santos | Up to 3 | From $450 | One day of about 6 hours |
| 27' Super Panga La Ruca | San Jose del Cabo | Up to 4 | $550 | $800 |
| 28' Catamaran La Morita | San Jose del Cabo | Up to 4 | $600 | $950 |
| 33' Don Pancho | Cabo San Lucas Marina | Up to 6 | $1,250 | $1,850 |
| 35' El Wahoo King | Cabo San Lucas Marina | 4 to 6 | $1,650 | $1,900 |
The Punta Lobos panga runs one length of day, about six hours, launched off the beach through the surf at Todos Santos. Launching is subject to conditions. The other four boats run a half day or a full day, and a full day is six to eight hours on the water.
Bigger groups and liveaboard trips go on our partner boats, from the 48 foot Tailchaser to the 98 foot Mardiosa. Those are priced on inquiry. You can compare all of them on the fleet page.
Half day or full day
A half day works the water closest in. It suits first timers, families and anyone with a flight to catch, and you fish the whole time you are out.
A full day buys the fuel and the hours to reach the offshore banks. If marlin, big tuna or wahoo are the reason you came, book the full day. The banks are a real run, and you want time on the fish once you get there.
Look at the gap between the two prices before you choose. On El Wahoo King the full day costs $250 more than the half day, so on that boat the long day is the better value. When you know the boat and the length of day, pick your date on the booking page.
What is included
- The boat, captain and crew, for your group only
- Rods, reels, tackle and bait on fishing trips. Bait depends on what is available that morning.
- Ice for the fish box
- Drinking water and snacks aboard
- Lunch and drinks on El Wahoo King
- Filleting your catch at the dock, with vacuum sealing and freezing available so it flies home with you
What is not included
- Your Mexican fishing license. Everyone aboard a boat with rods needs their own, at about $24 for a day, and we help you get it before the trip.
- Gratuity for the crew
- Sun protection and personal gear
- Lunch and alcohol on the other four boats
You do not need a wetsuit or rash guard to fish. A hat, sunglasses and your own sun protection cover it.
How booking works
Booking is online. The Book Now page shows live availability for each boat. Pick the boat, pick the date, and a 50 percent deposit holds it. If you are not sure which boat suits your group, each boat page says who it fits and where it leaves from.
Remote launches and Magdalena Bay
Cabo is not the only water we fish. On the Sea of Cortez side we arrange days out of La Ventana and El Sargento, San Evaristo and Loreto, on 24 foot pangas with a local guide, from $450 a day. San Evaristo is the launch for multi-day island runs toward Loreto.
In the fall, Magdalena Bay on the Pacific coast is Baja's famous offshore fishery, for striped marlin, tuna, dorado and wahoo. We book 27 foot offshore pangas there at $900 a day. It runs in the fall only, so plan around that window.
